I wonder why the article about the banned player listed the name of the minor player? Are they not afforded some sort of anonymity due to their age? Was the players” name really necessary to make the article meaningful and relevant?
This player will suffer the consequences but does not need it publicized to the whole county.
Unless you are going to have a list of all the suspended students every month why was it necessary to print his name?
Those of us who have teenagers are aware that the adolescent brain is a work-in-progress and that emotional control develops well into their 20s.
It is not unusual for them to lose control or make a bad decision at one time or another.
Let”s give this player the support and the consequences that he needs, not publicity for his mistakes.
