KELSEYVILLE — Kayla Farr scored all seven of her points in the fourth, including a 3-pointer, to help lead the Middletown Mustangs to a 43-32 victory over Kelseyville in North Central League I North varsity girls” basketball action on Friday night in Kelseyville.
No Middletown player reached double figures but five players did score six or more points. Angela Gattoni led the way with nine points, Amber Ramponi and Amber Hart each had eight, Farr finished with seven and Rachel Sutton had six.
Middletown (4-2, 8-15) gradually pulled away from Kelseyville (1-6, 9-13) in the second half after taking a 20-19 lead into halftime.
“We were shooting it, it just wasn”t going in,” Kelseyville coach Deanna Goff said. “And we didn”t get many rebounds.”
Liz Berry”s 11 points, four rebounds and three assists led the Knights. Mandy Spitzer finished with six points and five rebounds and Morgan Shannon had five points, four steals and four rebounds.
Middletown travels to Lower Lake for a North game on Tuesday while Kelseyville hosts St. Vincent in NCL I interlock action.
