UPDATED:

I am sorry to see Al Duncan go. I always looked forward to his columns.

Philosophically and ideologically I disagreed with almost as much as I agreed with him. When I disagreed with him, our exchanges were without rancor, something uncommon in today”s political climate or on today”s editorial pages. While it is true that he has an agenda, so what? Who doesn”t? If a person is without an agenda, that person is dead. His columns were guaranteed to stimulate thought and whether you agreed or disagreed with him, stimulated thought is always a good thing. I”ve known Al for many years and I know this about him, he is a sincere man and a good man. The Record-Bee has lost an asset.
