On Feb. 12 Ms. Townsend, a CNN National Security contributor said, “Many countries are worried about Islamic extremism, some of our allies, for example, Saudi Arabia.”

No wonder people criticize the media. Saudi Arabia is an example of Islamic extremism, except the government sides with us.

The same offense that will get your hand cut off in Iran will get it whacked off in Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, women can drive cars in Iran and vote.

Some have even been elected to Parliament.

In Saudi Arabia, women cannot drive and cannot vote. As for parliament, forget it.

Saudi Arabia is a monarchy. Iran at least makes a pretense at democracy. Besides, 15 of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers were Saudi citizens.

None were from Iran. To suggest that Saudi Arabia is not an example of Islamic extremism is false to fact.
