Will there be justice now?
Restoring public confidence and trust may not be easy for the sheriff”s office and district attorney.
That was brilliant of the S.O. to investigate Dinius and take the heat off of Perdock. Does that mean Perdock will never face criminal charges, even with a new sheriff and DA?
Until someone is prosecuted and found guilty, how can there be justice for the family and friends of Lynn Thornton?
I heard that deputies who backed the former sheriff are now involved in a civil rights case.
Are they to carry on where the last sheriff left off? How do we know that this isn”t going to continue? … the scapegoating, selective enforcement/non-enforcement. As if this county hasn”t suffered enough damage in the national news. It is my opinion that the LCSO is a troubled and dysfunctional police force.
What I least like is all the excuses. I was told, “I”m not sure that a crime has been committed so no need to investigate.”
Didn”t the sheriff”s office refuse to send a rescue unit to Snow Mountain because they thought it a prank, recently? Who was the patrol sergeant responsible for that bad judgment?
