By accepting a faith-based God”s supposed infinite wisdom, a person would have to believe that changes to many problems cannot occur.
I have no belief that is true.
I absolutely believe that there is no level playing field, but, also believe changes can be made to make it more level.
Like said, life is choices but, the more folks who are educated and the publishing of fact-based information can and would have a positive effect on leveling that same field. The same disadvantages are not per chance, but designed by those who feel they are superior to others.
I found that there is a line of discontent or better said, survival that when faced a person will toss those rules or laws aside that threaten that person”s life, health, welfare, or other important needs that we all have.
A good example is when employment is high crimes go down. Our society, in my mind, needs to work much harder in keeping employment high, which honestly means taking less profits from our business ventures. It also is important to roll back or at least take into consideration the use of high tech. We have limited our high tech usage in the past but, in this era we have put the desire for greater profits ahead of the social ramification high tech brings. Examples being, tires that would last a lifetime, far higher gas mileage, use of atomic power and cloth that will never wear out, etc. These are choices of a few for the benefit of the same not those of the masses.
There will always be a percent of mankind with lower IQ”s, education, training and medical problems. In my world it is the moral responsibility to all those who are not in that group to support at a much higher level as is done in our era.
The division of our tax dollars can be and should be changed to take care of this issue instead of being wasted on issues that only benefit those at the top and even in the middle.
I am a believer that instead of giving tax credits to families with more than two children, the taxpayers should give tax credits to those folks who adopt children, cover all their medical expenses as well as their educational costs. The same would go for those elderly who need help in different degrees. Giving Social Security and Medicare benefits to folks like Warren Buffet or Bill Gates is asinine.
I do not look at the issue of having morals is based on faith but, something inside us that brings an uncomfortable feeling about some actions we have the ability to do, but shy away from. I think it comes from our distant past when it took group actions to survive and thus allowed our minds to understand a need to look out for others and not just ourselves.
Over the decades, these issues became part of our interactions with each other even outside our personal groups.
I also believe that mankind took the wrong path when allowing leadership to be handed down based on blood lines or wealth instead of actions that demonstrated wisdom, intelligence and talented issues.
I feel that this gift of life, to become even better for those who follow, needs to be replenished with positive actions by all who have been given it.
Like a garden, it needs to be nourished by sharing the bounty gained in a lifetime by all individuals. This could be accomplished by redistributing wealth in funding social programs, education and medical services to those in need. We, over time, narrowed the sharing of this bounty with only those blood-related member of our groups and not with the group as a whole.
I have believed for a very long time, that those points in our lives that were struggles to overcome negative issues made us stronger and better citizens of our communities and nation.
We have narrowed all off our responsibilities to our fellow man, which has weakened both our nation and ourselves.
I will take to my grave the knowledge and belief that our nation had the chance to truly set an example and offer leadership through actions, for those other nations that would be inspired to follow that example.
Fear, greed and lack of leadership has kept us from this. Bigotry and other forms of unfounded hates and fears, are like rust, it never sleeps.
For me, it has been my deep study of nature and its laws that have brought the greatest understanding and joy in living each day. Like the old saying, from the tiny acorn the mighty oak tree grows.
I hold out my hopes that some time in the future, a acorn will be planted still, and what we have shared, might see the light of day. I have no regrets at not being able to live my dreams and am thankful that I have been given those joys that I have known.
