LUCERNE — Members of the Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) Narcotics Task Force arrested three men last week following two separate incidents in Lucerne, according to LCSO Capt. James Bauman.
On Feb. 15, Task Force members conducted a probation search at the Lucerne home of Darrell Lyn Collins, 50, who was on felony probation for narcotics-related offenses, Bauman said.
Detectives found “narcotics paraphernalia” and a stun gun belonging to Collins during their search, Bauman said. Collins was arrested on misdemeanor charges of being in possession of drug paraphernalia and being a felon in possession of a stun gun as well as a felony violation of probation charge.
Task Force members served a search warrant at a different Lucerne home on Friday and allegedly interrupted a sales transaction in progress, Bauman said.
Detectives detained several people and found a radio scanner, two bottles containing suspected methamphetamine and about 10 pounds of processed marijuana in the living room, Bauman said. Another 20 pounds of marijuana were found in the bedroom, Bauman said.
One man was arrested on two felony drug possession charges and one misdemeanor charge of paraphernalia possession, Bauman said, and a second man was arrested on a felony drug possession charge and a misdemeanor charge of paraphernalia possession. Bauman said the men”s names were “being withheld pending further investigation.”
The Task Force is continuing “its efforts to eradicate narcotics from the communities of Lake County and seize suspected profits from narcotics sales for asset forfeiture proceedings whenever possible,” Bauman said.
