During our snowstorm last week my power went out at 10:26 a.m. The only thing I had to listen to was my scanner. There is no way that I can say enough about what a great job our community police, fire and rescue folks did during those two very harsh days. I was most impressed with the job the dispatcher was doing. She was so busy with all the emergency vehicles out on the roads radioing in, where they were, what was going on, calling PG&E, propane companies, road crews, etc. Not once, during all that was constantly going on during those two days for our emergency response folks, did anyone get angry, upset, frustrated; nothing like that. And that dispatch gal, wow, she”s very good at what she does is all I can say.

Those two days were all about absolute teamwork on their part, each emergency agency counting on the other emergency agencies to do the job and they pulled it off like a fine-tuned fiddle. Not to mention the road crews and PG&E crews. My power was out for more than 13 hours, listening to my scanner for entertainment during that time was a very uplifting experience. Kudos to all of the agencies/people involved in keeping us all safe during that time and I know whenever there is another storm, we will all be safe. After what I heard, I have no doubt it will all go well for us citizens again, thanks to all of you. God bless you all and your families who have to worry about you all out there looking out for us.
