UKIAH — Ukiah Speedway 2010 bomber champion George Abella of Lakeport will hold his second racer”s swap meet in the pit area of the Ukiah Speedway, located at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in Ukiah, Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The event is partnered with the North State Racing Association general membership and driver”s meeting at 1 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to bring their race car parts to sell or just to attend to purchase any race car parts. There is no attendance charge for either sellers or buyers. Some of the items for sale will be complete race cars, chassis, roll cages, engine parts, tires and almost everything a racer would need to build or complete his race car. Abella said that at the last swap meet, parts were being bought faster than the sellers could get them out of their trucks.
The driver”s meeting at 1 p.m. will get drivers up to date on new 2011 rules in all classes as well as new rules that will be used during each race meet. Class rules, membership applications and other forms needed to compete at the Ukiah Speedway will be available. An open forum will be held so questions about racing can be answered.
