UPDATED:

I just finished reading Gary Dickson”s article entitled “Vacations to Hell,” where he discusses the Chernobyl and prison camp vacation spots. I see your point as to why you are worried about the former.

If you can only stay so long before risking your health due to radiation poisoning, then maybe it”s not safe at all. I also agree that a prison is not my idea of a vacation spot. Many people have never been incarcerated and may want a chance to see these historical sites. It”s not every day you get to see Stalin”s prison cells.

As for you last comment saying you can carry a Geiger counter or sit in a rat-infested cell if you want, but for me I just want to be able to stroll from the beach to the buffet as the sun slips into the sea on the horizon, I just have two things to say. I would think that the camps are at least renovated enough that there won”t be rats, and maybe some vacationers would like something different than the beach and setting sun. Or in other words, the same old thing.
