LAKEPORT — The Lakeport Police Department (LPD) arrested an Upper Lake resident Saturday after a “high-speed chase” along several Lakeport residential streets, according to Sgt. Jason Ferguson of the LPD.
Kenneth G. Coburn, 23, was seen driving in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot at “a high rate of speed” Saturday afternoon, Ferguson said. When an officer attempted to stop Coburn, who was known to have a suspended license, Coburn fled the scene, Ferguson said.
An officer attempted to pull him over, but Coburn failed to stop initially, Ferguson said. Coburn allegedly led the officer on a chase along several residential streets and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle before surrendering, Ferguson said.
Coburn was booked into the Lake County Jail on a felony charge of evading a police officer and misdemeanor charges of hit and run and driving on a suspended license.
