LOWER LAKE –The Lower Lake High School junior varsity baseball team fell 10-3 to the Ukiah Wildcats on Friday in non-league action at Lower Lake.

It was the season opener for the Trojans (0-1), who scored all of their runs on one swing of the bat, a three-run double by losing pitcher Jake Peters in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Peters worked four-plus innings, striking out five and walking none in his first start of 2011.

John Duncan went 2-for-3 with a double for Lower Lake and Zef Roofner added a hit and stole four bases.

The Trojans return to action today in Kelseyville at 3:30 p.m.
