KELSEYVILLE — Jake Peters struck out 10 in five innings and the Lower Lake Trojans picked up their first of the 2011 season, 5-4, against the Kelseyville Knights on Tuesday in junior varsity baseball action at Kelseyville.
The game was called after 6 1/2 innings because of darkness.
Peters allowed five hits and walked one before giving way to reliever Zef Roofner, who pitched the bottom of the sixth.
Peters helped his own cause at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBIs. V.J. Lopez (1-for-2) also drove in a run while Roofner went 2-for-4 with a run.
Lower Lake (1-1) hosts El Molino today at 3:30 p.m. at Redbud Park in Clearlake.
