KHS Sober Grad comedy night rescheduled
LAKEPORT — A comedy night to raise funds for Kelseyville High School”s Sober Grad trip has been postponed from Saturday and rescheduled on April 8.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. with the show to start at 8 p.m. Live and silent auctions will be held throughout the evening event. Beer and wine will be sold. Attendees must be 21 or older.
Tickets can be purchased for $20 presale or $25 at the door. If anyone has purchased tickets for the original performance, they are good for April 8.
Tickets are available at the Kelseyville Fire Department business office, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; and at Catfish Books in Lakeport.

EcoArts accepting entries for Outdoor Sculpture Walk
MIDDLETOWN — EcoArts of Lake County invites artists to apply for a spot in the ninth annual EcoArts: Lake County Sculpture Walk at the 107-acre Middletown County Trailside Park. Submission applications must be received by March 15.
Organizers will choose temporary works with strong artistic merit made from and/or relating to nature. The sculptures will be sited along both sides of a 3/8-mile central trail through meadows and woodland. Works will be installed from May 21 through 29 and be removed Oct. 8 through 16. A large public reception will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 11 at the park.
There is a $15 submission fee for each entry; however, EcoArts will waive the fees for schools and community groups. Applications and information is also available at the Lake County Arts Council”s Main Street Gallery, 325 N. Main Street in Lakeport.

LAKEPORT — Free proctering is available to students who need a proctor for online college exams at the Lakeport Library, 1425 High St. Proctors are generally available on Thursday afternoons. ukiaHaiku Festival accepting submissions
UKIAH — Friday is the deadline to submit haikus for the ukiaHaiku festival, taking place May 1 and 2 in Ukiah.
The 2011 festival continues with three major additions that were initiated in 2010: two Spanish-language categories, a regional focus for most of the competition”s categories and a Spanish-language version of the website.
Submission forms are available on the website as well as at Grace Hudson Museum, 431 S. School St. in Ukiah. Haiku submissions must be postmarked or submitted through the web form by Friday.
Poets from Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma and Humboldt counties continue to have a competitive edge, as submissions in 10 categories will be limited to residents of those four counties.

Kitchen Gallery to host culinary classes
LAKEPORT — The Kitchen Gallery presents two culinary classes in March:
* At 2 p.m. Sunday, culinary educator Esther Oertel will present her take on Irish cooking. Opening the menu is leek and parsnip soup with horseradish and frizzled carrots.
A shepherd”s pie made with Guinness, rich Irish stout, and lamb, one of Ireland”s most popular meats, will also be presented. A vegetarian version of shepherd”s pie is available with advanced notice.
Irish burnt oranges, a flamb?ed dessert that harkens back to the 18th century, will round out the meal.
* At 3 p.m. March 26, Ming-Chao Chang, a local woman versed in authentic Asian cuisine, will teach a class that features potstickers (dumplings), pork buns, Vietnamese rolls and green onion pancakes.
