LAKEPORT — A judge Friday scheduled the preliminary hearing for local insurance agent Glenn A. Neasham to begin Tuesday morning at the Lake County Courthouse.
Neasham, who was charged in December with one felony count of theft from an elder or dependent adult exceeding $950, pleaded not guilty to the felony charge and denied the two special allegations against him in February.
The results of a California Department of Insurance investigation allege that Neasham, who operates Neasham Financial, Insurance and Retirement Planning in Lakeport, acted illegally when he sold a $175,000 annuity to a local 83-year-old woman in February 2008.
Judge Richard C. Martin scheduled the estimated four-hour preliminary hearing for Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
