MENDOCINO COUNTY — At least three Mendocino County food facilities received a phone call from a person claiming to be a health inspector recently. The person wanted to schedule an inspection. Additionally two people claiming to be health inspectors showed up at one facility.
The county Environmental Health Division generally does not schedule inspections. County Health Inspectors carry photo identification. Ask to see the inspector”s agency identification if an inspector is unknown to you. Do not give out business or personal information over the phone or in person. If someone claiming to be a health inspector contacts you please call the Mendocino County Environmental Health Division at 463-4466.
