LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Record-Bee is sponsoring a Tin Cup series on July 16 and Oct. 15 at Adams Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain.
The two tournaments are fundraisers for vocational and technical school scholarships for high school students. The format is an 18-hole foursome scramble.
Adams Springs Golf Course owner Eddie Mullins and Gary Dickson, publisher of the Record-Bee, intend for the tournaments to become annual events and hope the proceeds will support several scholarships.
More details, along with registration information, will be published in the spring. For now, Mullins and Dickson just want area golfers to reserve one or both of the two Saturday dates for a fun day of golf, refreshments and food.
