I have been reading the Press Democrat and the Record-Bee and I have been watching some of the hearings with the Board of Supervisors and the PG&E running around installing SmartMeters against the county and residences will. I have an idea I believe should be considered.
PG&E with its activities is requesting that you pay money for something that you do not want or need.
The idea that I have at this time is that all the property owners of Lake County and the Board of Supervisors of Lake County should seriously consider furnishing our own power to the residents of Lake County with our own power source like Mendocino County. At this time we have the new steam wells being drilled and a lot of fees being paid to the county by Brian Harms and his associates.
I believe it is time for the county to play Monty Hall and make a deal with Mr. Harms and his associates regarding furnishing power to the residents of Lake County.
As a property owner if PG&E is requiring you to pay a first time fee, plus a monthly charge not to have the SmartMeter on your property, I believe the residents should consider paying the county the money added to the property taxes versus PG&E so that you have value verses throwing your money out the window to PG&E.
This seems to be only about more money to PG&E from you with the SmartMeters because they want to charge you more for the peak hours of the day you use; so when you come home from work and your house is hot and you turn your air conditioner on high for one to two hours per day this would be considered peak time and you will pay more to PG&E for peak power usage.
That is why it is so important for them to install a SmartMeter on your property so they can monitor your property 24-hours a day and they can charge you more for kilowatts. Remember it is all and always about money.
I believe the Board of Supervisors is against SmartMeters for the residents of Lake County. I believe it is time for the residents of Lake County to get behind the Board of Supervisors to make this all work for everyone.
Regarding the steam wells power, their Monty Hall deal with Mr. Harms would be giving Mr. Harms a financial break at this time, but later it will be a very big beneficial asset to the Board of Supervisors and all the residents of Lake County because once the Board of Supervisors or the County of Lake came up with a plan, that same plan could roll over to the City of Lakeport and City of Clearlake and the surrounding communities.
This letter is no way putting the finger on anyone, I want to be open-minded to everyone regarding this idea.
Thank you for your consideration and you thoughts by all.
