LAKEPORT — The city of Lakeport opened boat launches at Library Park Friday afternoon. City officials requested boaters adhere to a 100-yard ?no wake zone” along the shores of Clear Lake within the city limits, according to Public Works Director Doug Grider. The lake”s water level remained above 9 feet Rumsey on Friday but continued a steady decrease from nearly 9.4 feet Rumsey earlier in the week. Esplanade Street, the lowest lying spot in Lakeport, remains flooded but could be reopened by the end of next week if the weather continues to be warmer and the lake level continues dropping, Grider said.
