LAKE COUNTY — On Tuesday at 6:56 p.m. the Lakeport Fire Protection District (LFPD) responded to a vehicle fire on the corner of Park Way and Hill Road in Lakeport.
The SUV was fully-involved and consequently the vehicle was a total loss. There were no injuries as a result of the fire. One adult and one child were able to exit the vehicle safely. The driver reported that the fire started in the dash of the GMC SUV. A LFPD ambulance was the first to respond as it was en route to Lakeport from Sutter Lakeside Hospital. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
