KELSEYVILLE — A blood drive is scheduled to take place on Friday for Chuck March, esteemed long-time Lake County community member and Executive Director of the Lake County Farm Bureau.

March has been fighting for his life with a strep A infection and has been hospitalized since Feb. 26.

He is currently in the Bay Area at St. Francis Hospital. As of Tuesday morning March is stable, but still in a coma.

A great deal of blood needs to be replaced.

The donation of blood will go to many recipients in need during times of medical emergency. March”s family, friends and neighbors encourage everybody to attend the drive.

For those donating blood for the first time, it is recommended to go to the blood bank”s website for more information at www.bbr.org.

The drive will take place at Mt. Konocti Growers located at 2550 Big Valley Road in Kelseyville from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday.
