LAKEPORT — A fire in a motor home that spread to another motor home and then a double-wide trailer in unincorporated Lakeport along Soda Bay Road near Konocti Vista Casino broke out at approximately 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Two Lakeport Fire District (LFD) engines and arrived within minutes. A fire engine from Kelseyville Fire District was also on scene per a mutual aid agreement between the two fire districts. LFD Fire Chief Kenneth Wells said the 12 firefighters contained the blaze within 20 minutes and had it fully contained within an hour. Wells said the fire started when the resident of the two mobiles left a fire unattended in the fireplace of the home pictured above. There were no injuries reported and no one was reported to be displaced.
