How could anyone worship a God that would torture most of his creation for eternity for simply failing to believe in a invisible silent entity who speaks through the Bible, silent for 2,000 years?
The members of his creation who receive this punishment had no choice about being born, yet have no choice about not accepting the “good news” of salvation if they wish to avoid eternal torment.
Further, these beings that God created have finite minds that limit their ability to figure out what is the exact right thing to do. Evidently the right thing to do is spelled out in the Bible.
This is a book written thousands of years ago, by unknown authors of unknown education and mental stability. Within it they write of magical things none of which happen today. It was written in the Middle East, contains threats, fear, slavery, flesh eating, baby killing, mass murder and other issues akin to that.
Its main theme is that a super hero lives in the sky and many people in the book have encountered it. But nobody in modern recorded history has. Not one single documented case. Yet Christianity still persists in maintaining: believe it or else.
