Response: Is Gandhi in Hell?
The Bible clearly teaches that God is holy, pure, righteous and just. He teaches that we should not break his law. We should never steal, lust, lie use his holy name to show disgust. We should love our neighbor as ourselves. Has anyone kept God”s law?
From the Christian preacher to the nice little old lady to Gandhi ? the Bible teaches that no one has lived as God has commanded us to.
His standards are above ours. He counts hatred as murder and lust as adultery.
Because he is just and righteous and can not be bribed or corrupted, we must stand accountable for what we have done and thought. We can”t bribe him by being a good person or doing good deeds.
He knows our heart. That is what makes the cross so amazing. God came and paid for your sins. People don”t go to hell because they are not Christians. They go to hell because of their sin against a perfect holy God. Where is Gandhi? Where will you be?
Without the forgiveness of sins that only Jesus Christ can offer the answer is regrettably obvious.
