COBB — A crash involving two pickup trucks occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Highway 175 and Red Hill Road. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and other emergency services responded. According to CHP Officer Mark Crutcher, the driver of the county-owned white Ford Ranger was traveling along Highway 175 toward Cobb going approximately 45 miles-per-hour. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was waiting to make a left turn onto Red Hill Road. Crutcher said the driver of the Ranger did not brake, striking the Silverado at 45 mph. The Silverado”s driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be treated for moderate to severe injuries.
