Thank you for your commentary regarding the new courthouse building site and the building itself.
I have lived in Lakeport for 30-plus years and seen tremendous growth.
Yes, we do need a more spacious courthouse but not at the expense of one of the few views of the lake we have left. Over the years more of the lakefront is taken over by new homes with diminishing access. If you want to see the lake Vista Point has always provided an excellent view. It”s a wonderful place for a meal, the fireworks and some of the most awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets. We need to think about what we”ll be giving up if we take that view and replace it with the view of a building.
