I would like to say thank you to Ed Carlsen for his thoughts on one gentleman who I”m sure troubled many readers. I”m one of them. My son was one of the unlucky ones who didn”t make it.
As parents we did all that was possible. Church, three times in rehab, religious schooling and lots of love. We tried to be there for him through many hard times. I knew that call would come and it did almost five years ago. I”ve been told over and over that it wasn”t our fault. I still can”t look at his picture because it hurts too much. I wonder how many families were devastated by this gentleman”s words.
