LUCERNE — Proactive field enforcement efforts by the Sheriff”s Narcotics Task Force on Tuesday resulted in one arrest and the seizure of methamphetamine and narcotics paraphernalia.
On Tuesday at approximately 11:40 a.m., narcotics detectives and deputy probation officers conducted a probation search at the home of Cathy Jo Collins, 46, in Lucerne.
Collins and Rose Marie Pifer. 56, were both detained during the search.
Pifer was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance and arrested. A search of Pifer”s purse revealed two baggies containing methamphetamine and she was also found to be in possession of a glass pipe used for smoking controlled substances.
Pifer was transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked for possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The Sheriff”s Narcotics Task Force will continue its efforts to eradicate narcotics from the communities of Lake County and seize the suspected profits of drug trafficking for asset forfeiture whenever possible.
