LAKE COUNTY — A vegetation fire that ignited mid-afternoon Friday consumed more than two acres of hillside brush under steep terrain and grassy oak conditions. The fire was located in the Clearlake Park Goose Neck area on Lakeshore Drive near Pirates Cove. Lake County Fire Protection District responded with engines, water tenders and personnel; CAL FIRE and Northshore Fire Protection District Clearlake Oaks station responded with mutual aid, including aerial and ground support. A Konocti Conservation hand crew also responded. One structure was threatened in the incident, which remains under investigation.
