Read this letter with an open mind and think about what it says. I believe that the SmartMeters woke up smart people.
When you go the courthouse it is them versus us and they have the major control and we do not have any. But when the day is done at the courthouse and the people at the courthouse go home they are automatically one of us. PG&E wants to put a SmartMeter on their houses and they get treated just like we do. At this time I would like to commend the Board of Supervisors for standing strong against PG&E and its SmartMeters. They realize what the PG&E is trying to do to them, so they think like us and are not happy with the SmartMeter concept.
I am sure many people in Lake County get the Press Democrat and noticed on April 19 and April 21 there were two major articles stating that Sonoma County was looking to finance a plant to get power from chicken waste. Lake County does not have any chicken farms so that leaves us out. What did set off my alarm was that Sonoma County was in line for up to $55 million in bonds from the California Municipal Finance Authority, which now must approve the finance package. How about us folks in Lake County? Maybe the Board of Supervisors could do the same for us, which in turn includes themselves.
The other article states their mulling a power plant for chicken waste power plant near the Sonoma airport. This is also in line for up to $55 million in bonds from the California Municipal Finance Authority. So if Sonoma County can get this kind of money for its power plant, hopefully Lake County is not asleep at the switch. We should have the same opportunity for the property owners of Lake County,
Myself and other residents of the County, I am sure, would like to know more about it.
We do have the steam wells and a permanent availability of a power plant in our own backyard. This letter is in no way to step on anyone”s foot and is only written to open the eyes of the people in Lake County. Thank you for letting me express my opinion
