LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Rodeo Association is holding a special rodeo kick off dinner and dance on Saturday in Fritch Hall at the Fairgrounds.

This dance is a fundraiser Rodeo President Steve Estrada said, “so we may have sufficient funds to help us bring the rodeo to the community.”

Tickets for the dinner and dance cost $25 per person with dinner served from 6 to 8 p.m. and dancing from 8 p.m. to midnight, featuring Lake County”s, LC Diamonds. Lake County 2010 Rodeo Queen Ashley Johnson and Princess Kimberly Fischer plus current contestants for the 2011 Lake County Rodeo Queen and Princess contest will be on hand to meet everyone.

Applications for the mutton bustin” event will be available for children ages 4 to 8 years old.

Dance co-chairs Angel Purdy and Lou Riccardi put together a program featuring food, raffle prizes, dancing and family fun.

There is a chance to win a one-week stay at one of four different Lake Tahoe area resorts, in addition to more than 30 raffle prizes.

The association directors voted to offer $1.50 for glass beer for the first hour of the dance.

Tickets for Saturday”s event are available from rodeo directors or at the Lake County Chamber of Commerce at 875 Lakeport Blvd. in Lakeport at Vista Point. Call 263-5092 for more information.
