LAKEPORT — Third Friday Night Live presents the latest in its monthly concert series, The show starts at 7 p.m. May 20 at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport.
This monthly event gives Lake County artists the opportunity to take center stage. May”s concert features Uncorked!, a five-piece musical group specializing in fiddle melodies of all styles. Don Coffin, the KPFZ 88.1 FM Bluegrass DJ, plays guitar, the mandolin and sings. Dennis Hadley plays the accordion and is a veteran of several Cajun and Zydeco bands in Northern California. Dan Harrish plays guitar, the mandolin and banjo. Andi Skelton, a private string instructor and concertmaster of the Lake County Symphony, plays the fiddle and violin. Completing the quintet is Eleanor Cook, the assistant director of the CLPA Youth Orchestra and a member of the Lake County Symphony.
Opening for Uncorked! is another local group, Cobb Stompers. This group is composed of Patricia Jekel, fiddle; Dock Jekel, banjo; Scott Serena, guitar and mandolin; Tamsen Nash, washboard and autoharp. More information is available on the band”s website at www.cobbstompers.com.
All seats for Third Friday Live are $10.
