What happened to trickle down theory?
The government gave billions of dollars to the rich in the belief that it would trickle down to the poor.
I haven”t heard about it in a long time. I wonder if that”s because it didn”t work? In looking over the whole idea, I have come up with the following thoughts:
1. If money really trickled down, then there would be no poor as the money would keep showering down from where there is a lot of it.
2. Money is like helium, it rises. Rather than a trickle down theory, they should use an evaporate up theory. It”s more natural.
Looking at the facts, you cannot help but notice the main driving forces that make money evaporate faster than it could ever trickle.
1. When poor people get money, they buy things.
2. Collectively, non-millionaires spend more money on Super Bowl parties than millionaires.
If you want to help the economy, you have to put the money into the system on the base-level so that the natural evaporation of funds can continue and keep the economy alive.
