Concert series to debut in Lower Lake

LOWER LAKE — The Lake County band Blue Collar is teaming up with Terrill Cellars, Tuscan Village and the Cactus Grill to host the inaugural Tuscan Music Fiesta Summer Concert Series.

Blue Collar will open for three area bands: Southern Comfort on June 18, the Fargo Brothers on July 30 and Twice as Good on Aug. 20. All concerts start at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. Food and wine must be purchased separately. The Tuscan Village is located at 16175 Main St. in Lower Lake.

Blue Collar is an eclectic acoustical band that features original music by Carl Stewart. Its sound is a mixture of bluegrass, country, rock and Zydeco.

A few months ago, the members of Blue Collar approached Brad Terrill, owner of the Tuscan Village, with a concept they had to sponsor a large concert series at the venue. The band members” hands-down choice to provide food at the event was the Cactus Grill in Clearlake.

First to share the stage with Blue Collar, on June 18, is the Southern Comfort Band, which has been performing for more than 25 years upon stages on the North Coast and as far away as Nashville, Tenn.

On July 30, Blue Collar will open for the Fargo Brothers, four seasoned professionals who have performed rock ”n” roll together for more than 30 years. The Fargo Brothers are veterans of more than 3,000 live shows from California to the Canadian border.

For the last show, on Aug. 20, Blue Collar is sharing the venue with Twice As Good, the father-and-son duo of Rich and Paul Steward. They have been all over the United States and have independently released four albums. For more information about the concert series, visit www.tuscanmusicfiesta.com.
