KELSEYVILLE — The winner of today”s North Coast Section Division IV baseball semifinal playoff game between the Kelseyville Knights and McKinleyville Panthers will face No. 1 seed Marin Catholic in the championship game on Saturday.
Kelseyville (17-7) and McKinleyville (17-8) meet at 5 p.m. at Lloyd Larson Field in Kelseyville, the site of the Knights” first two playoff wins — 4-3 over Fort Bragg in the opening round and 3-2 over No. 2 seed Healdsburg in the quarterfinals.
Marin Catholic, the Marin County Athletic League champion, beat No. 5 seed St. Mary”s 4-3 on Tuesday in the semifinals.
The site of the championship game, according to the NCS website, is St. Mary”s College in Moraga. First pitch on Saturday is 4:30 p.m.
Marin Catholic will take a 21-4 record into the finals and will be facing Kelseyville, the No. 7 seed, or McKinleyville, the No. 6 seed, for the first time this season.
The Knights bring a 10-2 home record into their semifinal game today at Lloyd Larson Field.
