In reply to the few who consider me a Democratic idealogue; not to push religion, but I am one who espouses the Christian principles, those of compassion and sharing.
I do not even think of these principles as only Christian, because most religions believe in charity and human dignity. I understand there is a cult of rugged individualism rampant in this country, but there should be a happy medium.
Yes, we should encourage self-reliance and independence, yes even competitiveness.
But change is inevitable, so we need to make it proactive and not money and business, as usual. Sometimes we all fail, but hopefully we will learn by our mistakes. Those who do not change, fall behind and stagnate.
