CLEARLAKE — Clearlake Police are currently seeking information pertaining to hit-and-run vehicle incident that occurred on Tuesday night in the Chapman Tract area of Clearlake. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a black SUV with a chrome front grill guard.
According to Sgt. R. Joseph, response was requested on the 16100 block of 32nd Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a hit-and-run. He said when officers arrived they discovered a parked vehicle with significant rear-end damage and a damaged metal driveway gate.
Joseph said after crashing into the parked vehicle and the gate the suspect vehicle was last seen driving east on 32nd Avenue. He said vehicle debris found at the scene indicates that the suspect vehicle is likely a 1994 to 1996 black Jeep Cherokee. He said the vehicle will have both front-end and rear-end damage.
