UKIAH — Returning from a week off because of the Spring Carnival at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds last weekend, auto racing returns to the Ukiah Speedway on Saturday night with the Airport Auto Brokers Late Models and Legends Cars as the special event. This will be the third of six races for the Late Models at Ukiah.

The last time the Airport Auto Brokers Legends Cars were at the track they brought 22 cars, a season high for this competitive spec car series. Several of the competitors race only at Ukiah and the rest mostly travel with the Late Models.

Also on the racing card Saturday are the Bud bombers, the Speedy Signs street stocks and the 4-Bangers.

Ron Duke Jr. has been dominating the bomber class, winning four out of eight races so far in 2011. Terry Pittman is the driver to beat in the street stock division. He is 3-for-4 in main event action. The 4-Bangers have had only two different winners this season ? Jesse Hutchins won four in a row to start the season and Jamie Gallant has captured the last two. The 4-Bangers run on a chicane-style course with tractor tires marking out their obstacle course.

Gates open at the Ukiah Speedway at 5 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m. Call the speedway office at 274-1354 for more information or visit the web site at www.UkiahSpeedway.com
