LAKEPORT — Warm weather means auto racing and the Lakeport Speedway will be up and running this weekend at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport.
Drivers in the Coors Light modified division will be gunning for points leader Sean Sweeney, while Taco Bell bomber action should heat up as Jodi Snider challenges leader Charlie Collins.
The Clover Hydro Jammers, the bandoleros and the Lake County Off Road Extreme Asphalts also will battle it out on the quarter-mile paved oval. A special feature this weekend is the first of the destruction derbies.
Speedway gates open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30 p.m.
