CLEARLAKE — In response to a recent shooting that left a toddler dead in Clearlake, City Councilwoman Jeri Spittler is hosting a town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Clearlake Senior/Community Center on Bowers Road in Clearlake.
Representatives of the city police department, other law enforcement agencies and city staff will lead a discussion on the most effective ways to prevent violent crime and to keep neighborhoods safe.
Representatives of law enforcement agencies serving Lake County, the Board of Supervisors, the Konocti Unified School District and the District Attorney”s Office will be present to lead the discussion. After opening remarks, the group will divide into workshops focused on specific topics.
Attendees should bring a notebook, something to drink and questions. The workshops are intended to provide some answers and, even more, to help elected leaders learn about concerns.
