SANTA ROSA — Sonoma County Sheriff”s Office (SCSO) investigators arrested Kevin Stone, 29, early Friday morning in Santa Rosa.

Stone had been at-large for nearly two weeks after being identified as a suspect in connection with the June 20 shooting that led to a toddler”s death.

The SCSO reported receiving information Thursday night that Stone had been seen in several different areas of Santa Rosa. Stone reportedly had been driving a stolen Ford Explorer, the SCSO said.

Investigators received an anonymous tip at 1:20 a.m. Friday indicating the Explorer was parked on Aston Way in Santa Rosa, the SCSO said.

SCSO detectives and deputies reportedly located Stone and his alleged girlfriend, Leighann Painchaud, 25, inside the parked Explorer.

Stone was arrested for the outstanding murder arrest warrant and Painchaud was arrested in connection with the stolen vehicle, according to the SCSO. Both were reportedly arrested without incident and were to be booked into the Sonoma County Jail.

Two other suspects, 23-year-old Orlando Lopez and 21-year-old Paul Braden, remain in custody at the Lake County Jail. All three men are held in connection with the shooting at a residence in Clearlake on June 20 that led to the death of Skyler Rapp, 4, and injured five other people.
