LAKE COUNTY — Two drivers were injured in two separate solo-vehicle crashes that occurred within a minute of each other on Thursday night. One resulted in a DUI arrest.

The first crash, on Highway 29 occurred at 8:14 p.m. south of Cole Creek Road involving a 2005 KIA Sedona. The driver, David Yadon, 40, of Kelseyville was transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital by Kelseyville Fire after his vehicle overturned off of the roadway. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Joe Wind. Yadon sustained minor injuries.

The second crash occurred on Soda Bay Road west of Park at 8:15 p.m. James Wayne Humphrey, 50, of Lakeport was traveling eastbound on Soda Bay Road in his 1997 black Nissan Pathfinder.

Humphrey struck a PG&E power pole and sustained major injuries. He was transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital by a Lakeport Fire ambulance. He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Humphrey was the solo-occupant in the vehicle.

Both incidents are currently under investigation by the CHP.
