CLEARLAKE — An investigation involving possible burglary and forgery that initiated on Friday resulted in the arrest of two suspects on Sunday. Video surveillance footage reviewed during the investigation led to the arrest of Desiree Ramirez, 31 and David Rank, 33, both of Nice.
According to Clearlake Police Department (CPD) surveillance footage obtained by Officer Collier revealed cashing stolen checks, which were allegedly stolen from an insurance company located in Yuba City.
Sgt. T. Hobbs stated that the total value of the forged checks was $1,250.
On Sunday, Collier responded to the residence of Ramirez and Ranks located on the 7000 block of Kelly Road in Nice. With the assistance of two Lake County Sheriff”s deputies, Collier arrested Ramirez and Rank for burglary and forgery. The suspects were booked into Lake County Jail.
