HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE — The Lake County Milers will conduct a 5-kilometer running clinic beginning Aug. 13 at Hardester”s Plaza on Hartmann Road, which is located outside Mountain High Coffee in Hidden Valley Lake.
The clinic begins at 8:30 a.m. The fee for the six-week-long clinic is $25 for adults and $15 for teens. Older pre-teens are invited to participate at no charge with an accompanying parent.
The clinic will teach the skills necessary to compete in a 5k (3.1-mile) race without feeling intimidated by the distance. You must be able to jog slowly for one mile to be eligible. All participants must be in good health and a waiver must be signed by the participant (or a guardian if younger than 18).
The clinic will increase your ability to jog 3.1 miles by Sept. 17. The clinic fee includes entry into the Bratwurst 5K held Sept. 25 by Crazy Creek Glider port.
