I was born and raised in California. I have a Masters degree in social science. I attended the UCSC and gave the commencement address then went on scholarship to the Long Island University, United Nations graduate program in N.Y.
Now through ill health, I have lost everything I once had and live in HUD-subsidized senior housing.
Dental and eye care have been taken away and I have a broken tooth and have needed glasses for three years.
Seniors, such as myself, cannot afford another cut. We need our country”s help.
I worked since I was 16, raised five children alone, attained an education, taught university sociology, was the director of a two-shelter domestic violence program for beaten women and children, provided training for judges and district attorneys as well as police departments about the issues of domestic violence ? which my children and I survived from.
Please help me now and all seniors who cannot afford anymore cuts.
