MENDOCINO COUNTY — A 22-year-old Clearlake woman was involved in a three-car collision on Highway 20 in Mendocino County on the afternoon of July 7.

The Clearlake woman was driving a Buick westbound on Highway 20 and traveling behind a 2010 Peterbilt near milepost marker 15.58, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Ukiah Area.

A 55-year-old Willits man was driving a 1998 Dodge traveling eastbound in the same area and approaching the other vehicles when the Dodge crossed over the double yellow lines and into the path of the Peterbilt, the CHP said.

The Dodge collided with the front passenger side of the Peterbilt, which overturned into the eastbound lane, the CHP said. The Dodge then allegedly continued eastbound before hitting the Buick head on off of the north shoulder of the highway.

The Willits man sustained a broken arm but no other injuries were reported, the CHP said. No arrests were made as a result of the incident.
