UKIAH — The Bill Binns Machine Shop Modifieds return to the Ukiah Speedway on Saturday night along with the 4-Banger road course racers.
The modifieds raced at Redwood Acres Race-way in Eureka last weekend as part of the Tri-Track Challenge and Kelseyville driver Darin Snider pulled down the $750 win. Tri-Track Challenge points leader Rich Lindgren finished second, Richie Potts was third and Darrin Knight of Kelseyville came in fourth.
George Abella, the class rep for the 4-Bangers, is expecting a 10-car field Saturday on the road course, which is more like an obstacle course. Drivers have specific rules in this class, including one requiring the leader go to the outside of the corner tires while all other competitors are allowed to take the faster inside lane.
Joining the modifieds and 4-Bangers on the racing card are the Dennis Furia Heating & Air bandoleros, the Bud bombers and the Airport Auto Brokers Legends Cars.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Call the speedway office at 274-1354 for more information or visit www.UkiahSpeedway.com
