A letter to the editor titled “Magical encounters” written by Misty Medvin, stated:

“One-in-three Americans (believe in ghosts). Does that mean 100 million of us are crazy?”

You believe in an illusion that is not supported by fact.

Millions of people worldwide believe in absolute nonsense for reasons that only they understand (or more likely, feel emotionally). That they believe fervently and completely is beyond question. An example of the power of belief would be the Sept. 11 holy warriors, as well as Jehovah”s Witnesses, Scientology members, and so on.

I do not question your belief Misty, I question the objective validity of belief in ghosts, angels, demons, heaven and hell.

You probably agree with me regarding fairies, leprechauns, unicorns and the tooth fairy.

Regarding the Bible: So what if the Bible says something? The Bible is a man-made book written in the bronze age. It depicts a god that was created in man”s own image.
