LAKEPORT — The Lake County Board of Supervisors (BOS) granted a continuance of a proposed ordinance on medical marijuana dispensaries Tuesday.
Community Development Director Rick Coel asked the BOS for a continuance to Aug. 9 to allow time to develop a second option on the dispensary issue.
Coel said members of the public had asked the proposed ordinance not be in the zoning code but in the business license code. He said he wanted time to look into this second option as a form of compromise.
A few members of the public spoke and agreed with continuing the matter.
The discussion and consideration of the medical marijuana dispensary ordinance will be back before the BOS on Aug. 9 at 1:30 p.m.
