UKIAH — The Northern California Pro-4 Modifieds will be competing at the Ukiah Speedway Saturday night for the third time this year. This traveling group also competes at Redwood Empire Raceway in Eureka, Shasta Raceway Park in Anderson and 99 Speedway in Stockton.

The Pro-4 Modifieds are powered by four-cylinder engines and have a smaller wheelbase than the full-size modifieds. Although they are a smaller version racecar, their lap times are only about 0.02 seconds slower the eight-cylinder cars.

The Pro-4 Modifieds will join the Speedy Signs Street Stocks, the Bud Bombers, The Furia Heating & Air Bandoleros and the 4-Bangers for a full night of auto racing action.

It is also “Hero Card Night” at the speedway. The racecar drivers will bring their cars out to the start/finish line and all the race fans will get a chance to go out on the track and talk to the drivers. Many of the drivers will be handing out autographed “Hero Cards.”

Gates open at the Ukiah Speedway at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Call the speedway office at 274-1354 for more information or visit the website at www.UkiahSpeedway.com.
